Lisianthus Mix
Also known as Eustoma, Texas Bluebell and Prairie Gentian, Lisianthus is native to the United States and blooms in white, blue, pink and purple. Available year-round.
Harvested by Trikaya when at least 2 flowers begin to open, if you remove older flowers when they get weak and old, the other buds on the stem will begin to open to give you a much more extended vase life.
Many of the unopened buds which show color may open fully. The really tiny buds may not open but simply support the larger blossoms and accent the foliage.
With beautiful, soft petals, Lisianthus is a great flower to display in small bowls or mason jars. The colourful flowers have a striking effect even if when their stems are cut short - just remember to keep giving them lots of water.
The lisianthus is an incredibly versatile flower. You can use them in bouquets, table centers and also keep the long stems and tight flower buds to create a free look to an arrangement.
Due to its exceptional vase life, Lisianthus is regarded as a very prevalent, high-end cut flower, particularly because of its rose-like appearance.
For a classic look, stick to one colour in a monochrome vase to let the flowers be the centre of attention.
Make sure your vases are clean as Lisianthus is very sensitive to pollution.
Lisianthus requires a lot of water, so keep an eye on those water levels.
Being placed in a AC draught is best avoided for the Lisianthus so make sure
they are placed away from them.
Cut flowers of the lisianthus can last 5 to 7 days in water.
